The Bulyk Lab investigates transcriptional regulation. We are particularly interested in transcriptional cis-regulatory elements and the interactions between sequence-specific transcription factors and their DNA binding sites. For these studies, we develop genomic, proteomic, and computational technologies and approaches and apply them to a wide variety of biological systems, including in the fruit fly D. melanogaster and human.
We are located on the 4th floor of the New Research Building on the North Quad campus of Harvard Medical School. We are part of the Division of Genetics in the Department of Medicine at Brigham & Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Martha Bulyk is also a member of the Department of Pathology at Brigham & Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, an Associate Member of The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and an Associate Member of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) Center for Cancer Systems Biology (CCSB).
